Change in Leadership

Hosanna International Ministries (H.I.M) is affiliated with Hosanna (Presbyterian) Church in Myeongji.  Although we operate as an autonomous church, the senior leadership (Pastor and Deacons) of HIM submit to Hosanna Church. The church calender starts in December and ends in November the following year. At the end of each year, pastors and deacons are asked to overseer new ministries.  At HIM, we have the honour of welcoming new deacons to our church at the start of each year while having a hard time saying farewell to the current deacon.
Pastor Dahm Son

This year we experienced an even greater loss to our ministry as our senior Pastor (Pastor Dahm Son), was asked to step down from his role as pastor at HIM and focus on another ministry at Hosanna Church.  The change came as a shock to our church as Pastor Dahm was more than just our pastor, he was part of our family and saying good-bye to him was very difficult.  We have grown to love Pastor Dahm and his leadership and have been blessed through his ministry at HIM. Our family at HIM truly appreciates all Pastor Dahm's time and dedication to our church and we will continue to pray for him and his ministry.

Deacon Jung

We also had to say a sad good-bye to Deacon Jung, who served HIM for the past year despite the language barrier.  His love and dedication to God and our church was truly remarkable.

Deacon Choi
Change is always difficult, but, with God all things are made perfect.  He often brings people into our lives for a season and allows for His love to shine through them.  At the start of this month we warmly welcomed our new senior pastor (Pastor D.J. Kim) and senior deacon (Deacon Choi) into our HIM family.

Pastor D. J. Kim
Pastor D.J is of Korean descent but grew up in the United States of America.
Apart from serving as senior pastor of HIM, he is also involved in the English Sunday School ministry (ESS).  We are glad to have him join our little family and look forward to serving our King together.

As we move into the new year we ask that you join us in praying for our church and the body of Christ as a whole.  We know that God has great things in store for each of us in this new season.
